Greer sits in two school districts, so families on each side of the county line get different spring breaks. Most of Greer is in Greenville County Schools; the Spartanburg County side is in Spartanburg School District Five. Not sure which you are in? See our schools guide.

Camps

  • Greenville County Rec spring break camp. The county’s camp programs page lists a spring break camp for ages 5 to 11 (kindergarten through fifth grade) at its Brutontown, Mt. Pleasant and Slater Hall community centers in Greenville. In 2026 it ran March 16-20, with registration from Feb. 16. The 2027 dates had not been posted. Call 864-288-6470.

Things to do

BMW Zentrum, BMW Plant Spartanburg. The only BMW museum in North America is open 9:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. Monday through Friday, and “there is no charge to enter,” according to BMW. It is self-guided; plant tours are booked separately.

BMW CCA Foundation museum, 190 Manatee Court. The car club foundation’s museum lists hours of 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday on its website. Phone: 864-329-1919.

Greer Heritage Museum, 106 S. Main St. Open 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday, and volunteers give free guided tours, according to the museum.

Benson Automotive Kids Planet at Century Park, 3605 Brushy Creek Road. Zip lines, hillside slides and fenced play areas by age, open 7 a.m. to dusk daily except Wednesday mornings until noon, according to the city’s parks page. An 18-hole disc golf course loops around the park.

Lake Robinson and Lake Cunningham. Greer CPW’s lakes are open sunrise to sunset for fishing, boating and paddling; permits are sold at the lake warden’s office at Lake Robinson, according to CPW.

Rainy days. Discover Greer’s family fun list includes Peach Bowl Lanes, a family-owned bowling center with 12 lanes, and Trapped in the Upstate escape rooms. The Greer Library, 505 Pennsylvania Ave., is open 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Friday and Saturday (library).

Events around the break

The city held its Easter Eggtastic egg hunt on Saturday, March 21, 2026, and Greer Alive! on Friday, March 13, and Friday, April 17, 2026. The 2027 dates had not been posted. See our Easter in Greer page.
